early 2000's Yamaha
OX 66
2 stroke
250 HP
serial number not readable

Engine is new too me ,
Bit of oil after each use bottom of cowling
Noticed 3 hoses not connected
One wire , port side - thin black off the oil storage container . Discovered it goes too one of the nipples off the plastic carb cover .
Starboard side
lower front portion near carb are two grey oil vent hoses not connected too anything
One grey hose has red stripe
other hose all grey , ( longer then grey hose with red stripe )
assuming longer grey hose goes too other nipple ,
Leaves one grey and checked over and over cant see where this grey goes ,
can I make a TEE connection , connecting too grey into remaining nipple in air cover

thanks as usual

I can't find much info without a model/serial number. My 115 yamaha has 2 small hoses that go to the breather (air box) cover on the carbs. I've been told that one or both of them are vent lines for the oil pump. When I forgot to connect one of the lines and left it dangling, it dripped some oil out. On my motor, there's one hose close to the top of the air box on the starbord side, and one close to the bottom on the port side. I'd suggest taking the breather off and seeing if there are more nipples for hoses to connect to.

Thanks for getting back , Found it difficult too follow some of the diagrams. Possibly help others
Two hoses I was referring too is coming off the intake manifold , One of the hoses goes too the nipple off the silencer , Carb cover , the other one it tuff too find but thanks too a retired yamaha tech he told me were too look , Behind the VST tank is a tiny tee with two other same hoses , Seems this hoses is vent hoses off the oil pump , This is why I always find a light coating of oil base of cowling ,. Amazing something so simple
