I was wondering (hoping) if someone that has an account with BoatFax, BoatHistoryReport... ect, would be so kind to run a HIN on a boat I'm looking to purchase to find out some info on it? I work with the woman that knows basically nothing about the boat, cannot find the title, registration or any paperwork and unfortunately, her husband passed a few years ago. I can run the free HIN lookups but all they tell me is the year, make & model. I'm trying to get some info so we (she and I) can backtrack and hopefully figure out its history and get a title. She does know her husband bought it in NY back around 1992 as a project boat but never finished it before he passed. I'm pretty sure I could do some sort of title search through NY DMV but am hoping to avoid that nightmare unless absolutely necessary at this time. lol. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.
