little help with Tachometer ?

I 'm replacing my Tachometer with new one in the instruction for a 2 stroke it says to set it at 1/2 the number of alternator poles.I have the manual but it doesn't say how many my E225pxcu has.Is there a way to check this with out have to disassemble the fly wheel? ? does anyone know the number of poles on my '87 225. my choices are 2,3,4,5,6

ok I was read other threads and I believe it has 12 poles can anyone confirms this thanks

You need to set the dial to 6P.
