little power, then stall '76 115hp

I have a 1976 115 hp, ser no. 4313752. Replaced the whole distributor assembly last spring. Ran fine for a few trips. Now when I go to WOT, it stalls at about 1200 rpm.
Primer bulb stays firm. I have spark on all 6 cylinders. Compression is good on all 6 clinders.​

Compression is 120, 118, 120, 117,118 and 120. I put it on the muffs put it in gear and went up tp 4,000 rpm with room to go.

Why would it be ok on the muffs, but not on the water?

Don't have a solution to your problem. But, I should point out that running your motor to 4000RPM with muff may get you a new problem very quickly.
