Hello All,
I am wanting to put a live/bait well in my jon boat. What would all of you suggest. I have looked at the Cabellas Marine catalog and seen a few items of interest in there. What all would I need to purchase. What kind of pump, insert, tubing, or anything. This will be a first for me but it is something that I must have installed. Thanks for any help.

realisticly if the boat doesn't have one, it's much easier to use a cooler with a areator pump. the problem lies in getting a water tight tank built in to the boat, with the cooler you can even put a divider screen in it bait on one side, fish on the other. take a plastic cutting board and drill 1/8" holes in it so the water circulates, hot glue it into the cooler. simple live and bait well.

i just made one out of a cooler, it doubles as my seat. sealed everything from the inside with RTV. Works out so far.

Would yall post some images of the ones you have built from a cooler? I also thought about just adding water with the wash down and letting the excess flow out through the cockpit drain. I have a tendency to over complicate things.

Thanks, Grits

i will get some pics tomm. ITs basically a raw water thru hull pump that pumps water under the floor into this cooler that i cut a hole in. I screwed it to the floor with 4 SS lag bolts. When i drain it i just unplug the bottom of the cooler.
