My manual live well pump works. A mechanic installed a "timer" cylinder yesterday, as the automatic phase didn't work. I haven't had the boat in the water yet. However, I did turn on the manual switch and heard the pump come on. When the Auto switch was on, the pump did not come on.
I waited 10 minutes and still no pump! Question: Should the pump come on immediately for a short spell when the switch is turned to the Auto stage, or will take a while for it to come on? More than 10 minutes? THe mechanic thought my switch was fine. Hmmmm. What would you say?
