Livewell Aerator Pump not moving water

My boat has 2 livewells, one livewell has an aerator that should fill and aerate the water. The aerator comes on but will not fill the livewell when in the water. I can force feed it with a hose out of the water and it works fine. Any ideas on what is wrong?

clogged pick up, sits to high to self prime, impeller shot.

Yup! The intake on a livewell pump needs to be below the water line. They are not "lift pumps" meaning they cannot lift intake water.
