livewell pump replacing on 05 tracker 165

can anyone tell me how to replace the livewell pump on the 165 hull. i can't get the dial to turn at the top because it was installed just under the lip of the transom inside the hull and it blocks me from getting the top out. can you replace the whole thing? if so, how? i will never buy another aluminum tracker again. this is the third pump that has gone out and i have only had the boat 2 years next month.
