Livewell question

Good morning, I am wondering if someone can answer a quick question about my live well (aerator) situation, I will include some photos to help the process.
Inlet tube from back of the boat (previous owner liked his silicone)

Water travels from that inlet to the live well and aerator heads (I assume this fills the live well with water and circulates occasionally through the spigot heads).
This is the overflow that runs out the side of the boat


Here is a picture of the aerator head setup, as well as the corrugated tube that runs from the pump

Here is my question, how do I evacuate the water out of the live well? Does the tube that supplies the water also act as a drain somehow? Many I have seen have a drain in the bottom of the tank, this does not. Any help would be appreciated

Not being there in person this is my guess. It looks like in the picture of the aerator head it has a tee type lower fitting. Is that or was that a tee valve at one time. Because that is where the live well tank would drain... It may need a plug installed to stop it up and use the aerator head to fill and aerate... The after you trailer the boat you can remove that plug and it will drain out of the same outlet it used to fill and aerate. But that is only my guess not being able to search over your boat myself...

Thanks for the reply, I am not at all familiar to these setups, and what is here is how it came (I have not made any changes to the setup). When the tank "fills", does it fill only from the aerator heads? Or does the corrugated piping aid in the fill process? Also, if that same corrugated pipe is used in the draining process, it would drain as flow would allow (as in the pipe head being lower that water level, and the pipe itself running downhill), does that make sense?

Again, not being able to search you setup, I'm guessing that without any plug in that lower fitting, once you enter the water, the live-well may start to fill, but only to the level of the water level and then stop filling. Then the aerator will aerate the live well for the continued operation. It will not fill beyond the water level unless you plug that lower section. If you don't plug the lower section, it will also drain some as you boat around as well. So you could either install a plug and launch your boat and fill it via the aerator system, or allow it to partially fill to the water level and then plug it and allow the aerator system completely fill it up. However, IF there is no overflow drain, you could also be filling the boat after some time being how there would be no over flow drain in the live well to allow the excess water to drain... Seen it happen... But this IS just my guess because I can't search your setup to see how everything is plumbed...

Different boats have a lot of different and confusing systems, you will have to mess with it to see.

Yep looks like you are missing livewell plug....looks like a boat drain plug but smaller. Get one from eBay ind insert in that brass pipe
