Hi everyone,
I have a 25-30 gal. livewell that needs to be glassed on to the underside of my casting deck. I haven't installed the deck yet, so I plan on glassing it before hand of course. I only have 1.5oz CSM and 10oz. cloth, and my issue is securing the livewell enough so it will stay put when full and in rougher water. The manufacturer did a good job of glassing it to the underside and they also tabbed a piece of roving on the underside of the well to the hull. I am assuming this was for stability. Any advice on what glass to use? Can I just layer CSM and 10oz. twice to the underside?

I also have a question about the syphon-break in the intake hose. When I was demo-ing my deck and stringers the intake hose was inside a 4" PVC running the length of the hose and was bedded into the forward bulkhead at a 10 degree incline (See picture). Both hoses were in PVC piping, the drain hose is glassed into the hull below. Have any of you done away with the PVC or modified your intake hose with another idea for a syphon break? Any ideas and insight are welcome, thank you.
