Anyone have instructions on how to set up a livewell pump. Do I need to drill any holes? My boat has a livewell compartment, but I keep it plugged b/c there is no areator pump set up...
Thanks

Re: livewell

If the boat came with a live well you should have a through hull fitting near the base of the transom. A hose would attach to that. From there to a pump inlet and from the pump outlet another hose to a fitting near the top of the live well. The pump can be operated automatically through a timer or manual, both of which are usually wired through a three way rocker switch.

A livewell pump has a threaded intake fitting that mounts through the transom. A hose on the outlet side of the pump feeds the aerator head in the tank. The tank needs and overflow which either runs out the side of the boat from a fitting at the top of the tank, or using a standpipe that sticks in the drain hole.
