locate my thermistat

I have a 150 gl 92 johnson. Could someone tell me the location of my thermistat.

Hi Robert....<br /><br />Your engine has two t-stats. One at the top of each head. Look for a large hex looking nut. It will be plastic. The t-stats are behind them. The cover screws out.

Almost forgot.....if you remove the covers becareful....there is a retaining spring behind it that will fly to the moon if yer not careful.

On the back of my motor are 3 holes about an inch apart. The middle one is for flusing, the outside two are water flow indicators. Does each of these to run off of its own head. If one of the head gaskets were blown, but the other fine, would i get water out one of the holes and not t he other?
