On my 2001 Searay 190SD, I noticed steering was kind of draggy and checked PS fluid and it was near empty. We had just bought this boat in April and only test drove it once, so no past history of the boat, although it only has 147 hrs on it, with one owner. Anyway, trying to trouble shoot the leak, can verify there is not leak around the resevoir/pump, by wiping down the hoses underneath and taking several pictures to verify no drips overnight. I used ATF for the fluid, so you would think it would be very visible, somewhere? From looking in manuals and reading online, the most normal places to look for a leak are hose connections at pump, hose connections going to cooler, and hose connections goind down to the actuator cylinder. I can lay across the motor to "kind" of look in back, but not far enough to actually put my hands on hoses or visually inspect. Ive taken several pictures with my cell phone, even video, but nothing jumps out to me as a leak. I could possibly slide back in further, but Im afraid of either breaking the plastice cover over air cleaner or if I remove the plastic cover, Im afraid of breaking a plastic fitting on the air cleaner itself. If I remove it, I know I will break the fittings on top of the "carburetor"(for lack of a better name) How are you supposed to physically place your hands on the cooler and actuator "IF" you have to remove and replace? Im a farmer by trade, so turning a wrench is not foreign to me, even crawling in tight spaces to access broken parts, but this boat thing, has got me scratching my head? Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Jim
