Just acquired a Sea King 7hp outboard, and need some parts to get it running.
model# XTV-27007B-- ser#367819--age approx 1/1970--another # on the plate is J7001106C. 7hp air-
cooled--2 cycle single cylinder.

Need any ideas as to what sights to go to for parts, at this point the main thing is the linkage
required for the shifting rod assembly.
I do have the owners guide and parts list from Wards(when purchased), but have no idea where to look for parts. Thank you MDB

M D B, Your motor was built by Clinton.
J700 first appeared in 70.They have been out of business for some time.Probably the best bet for parts would be ebay.parts and parts motors appear regularly. The power head was used for a number of applications so a small engine shop may have some parts on their discard pile "out back".
