Re: Location of water pocket cover?

the water pocket cover is what the copper water pipe tube inserts into on the other end. not the water pump housing end. the other end. it's plastic and has 4ea. 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts that hold it on. if ya want troubles. touch them bolts and they'll break off. probably...

power back flush it before attempting removal ,also the power steering cooler.

for sure. do that...

doing that can help determine if ya really have to remove that darn cover. i removed mine because while backflushing for impeller pieces. i discovered the seal leaking around my waterpocket cover. while flushing backwards i found impeller pieces coming out of the water pipe hole + water leaking around the seal of the water pocket cover. i also wasn't for warned to use extreme caution while attempting to remove them bolts. i broke 2 off just that fast. the third one while being careful and using heat to remove it. the 4th, i got out with issue... i've never drilled anything so physically hard as them ss bolts. slide off the bolt while drilling and the cast alum. will suck you in and you'll be buying a new upper..

I'm looking for impellar pieces.Found some in the exchanger flushed it out.But she is still getting hot real fast. Have put in a new tstat ,my front cam seal was leaking, replaced the seals did'nt find any grooves on the shaft. But she is still heating up real fast. How do you power backflush this for best results. I feel like something is blocked up somewhere beside the exchanger.
Thanks

Oh and I dont have a ps cooler.
