Reading theses post its clear that a lot of you guys live in the states (silly statement ) your boating activities are quite different to mine here in the uk. I get to use the boat maybe 3 times a year, and some years only once as the weather is so bad when you get to your destination. The traffic conditions have in the past made me turn back as well. This is just to say I envy you guys in a place where you can enjoy your pastime to the full. Also over here the government try to extract as much enjoyment as possible adding to the stress.
I am about to go away for a week taking my Simms Super V with an Evinrude 70 hp Down to Cornwall for a week. At the end of the week I will decide if its time to give up the boating altogether or whether to carry on with it. In the past just having the boat parked up was enough to make you look forward to the next trip but in the current climate that's maybe not an option

Re: location.

I feel your pain bud, that's one of the reasons why I got out of the UK.

Re: location.

I lived in Europe for three years and I always wondered what it'd be like to have a boat there. But like you said, the weather isn't always great for boating.
