Hi guys. I just bought a 1979 19.6 ft Wellcraft with an OMC 200 engine and a Stringer 800 drive (not sure of the model of the boat). I took it out for the first time yesterday and on the way out of the harbor I hit sandy bottom for a second and put it nuetral immediatley. I got out in the lake and gave it 1/2 throttle and it seemed to be dogging like it was bogged down or something so I messed with the trim and it didn't help. I gave it full throttle and it was still bogged down and not getting on plane. It then made a clunk and stopped dead. It turned over very hard and wouldn't start so I got towed in. I got it home and put my jump starter on it and it started and purred like a kitten for 5 seconds and clunk it stopped dead. Now it won't turn over like something in the driveline is preventing it from cranking. The prop spins freely in nuetral and goes into forward and reverse fine. I would greatly appreciate any info you guys could provide because I don't want to dump a ton of money into this thing. Please help. Eric
