I seem to be getting logged out automatically while reading some of the longer threads.
Is there a setting that I can change to keep me logged in?

Re: Log Out

My ISP set a low default time for any inactive time, like during the time it takes to read long threads.

I have a setting that can increase the "inactive" time. I do it in my ISP account. Has nothing to do with a forum.

Re: Log Out

Thanks for the input David but this happens while I'm still connected to the net.
I'm starting to wonder if I only think I logged on in the first place and got myself confused.
Age-->senile etc.

Re: Log Out

I'm logged on 24/7. Just remember to click the remember me box when you log on. :)

Re: Log Out

Logging in/out ONLY impacts your ability to post or reply to a thread.

Welcome to iboats.

iboats is available to read to ANYONE without signing up or logging in.

It sounds like a connection problem which I have seen before from people outside North America...... where are you? ;)

Re: Log Out

Thanks for the welcome Bob I'm in Australia.
I'll keep an eye on it today to see if I get unlogged.

We have many people here from Australia! Welcome mate!

There have been connection problems for YEARS with AU but our member's always seem to overcome them.

Re: Log Out

Between when I logged in this morning (local time) and now I have been logged out so this time I checked the 'remember me' box to see how that goes.

Re: Log Out

If you have the Comcast Norton security that they changed to this might be affecting you. I know it will not let my machine save the cookies and I have to continually log in, but they do have a secure log-in selection that lets to store the simple log ons. I seems to be a good system once you get used to using it. My biggest complaint is that is a RAM menory hog.

Re: Log Out

I haven't had a problem since I checked the 'remember me' box so it looks like it's sorted.
