Well... I used to launch out of Cape Charles, VA @ the harbor. Gonna be two minutes from Kiptopeke boat ramp and have no clue if she can handle my 26.9' Scarab. Never seen it.

Anyone out there have any idea? I know this is a long shot to get an answer.

This is the time of year I yank the Scarab from her indoor boatel in Cape May County, NJ and drag her to some other place. She starts life in the Spring in the Upper Chessie, then the bulk of summer in Cape May County, New Jersey (Atlantic Ocean, Delaware Bay and intercoastal waterway), then we head off below Cape Charles for early August. House is right next to the park.

If I can launch there, that'd be awesome. I don't want to back track to Cape Charles harbor when I am practically at the park.

( Dang! Just noticed I posted in wrong forum. Oh well! :p )

post this question at Tidalfish.com's Virginia forums. Lots of folks there know that ramp. Or call that tackle shop out on Rte 13--is it Chris's? I can't remember, but they'll know.

Great reference! I will scoot over there and ask them!

It's Chris' Bait and Tackle. Gonna give them a ring when I get a free minute at work!

Not such a long shot. Launch out of there several times a winter to fish the CBBT.

Kiptopeake State Park has a good double wide ramp. No problem with a boat that size but make sure you take a shovel with you.

The ramps, especially the right side as you pull in has a tendency to ?shoal up? which can leave a lot of sand on the ramp. I've seen more than a few guys get stuck trying to get out of there.
