Welcome aboard.

That looks to be an 18ft. Holiday. At the top of Starcraft section is a nice list of brochures that you can take a look at. By looking at the pics it does not appear that the plate CG plate is there. Where in CT are you at? I'm in Vernon.

CG is for Coast Guard. There is usually a plate on the inside of the gunwale near the driver side that has a plate for the model, Max HP rating and Max weight. To get an idea of what you have take a look at the completed restorations forum also. I have a thread going for my current restoration of a 1974 16ft Holiday. Just search for 2 Starcrafts in 2 months. This forum has been a big help to me and alot of others.

I gotta say, I don't think that's a Starcraft! Lots of subtle differences. It is a nice tinnie though. Welcome and good luck with it.

That could be the result of the last owners restoration, the registration says starcraft and lists the model as "alumina"

Yeah I have not seen a Starcraft with that style splashwell. Very nice rig though, I like the full lapstrake design on that hull. Definitely worth restoring.

Welcome aboard:)

Coast Guard plates came about in the mid(?) 70's. You will not find one on a boat that vintage. The official CG approved formula for calculating capacity for boats without a manufac CG plate is LXW divided by 15. (BAR 18.17.2 NMAC 11D) I think my 18' holiday came out to about 7.5 persons. Not that I think i would ever have 7 in my boat....that half person could be hard to explain!!!

Re: Look at me, I'm the guy in a boat!

i'll third that. the curve of bow looks wrong for a SC....not "pointed clipper bow" enough. and the windshield looks too far forward. i'd guess a Crestliner or maybe Lone Star. it would make sense that the prev restorer might have just added logos for the standard of the industry...

no matter, we like faux SCs too. welcome aboard!

Im not a gambling man, if I was I'd say SYLVAN, 12 1/2 to 1 the hard way.

Or a Browning, with a 4 point over under.

welcome to the insanity, you are welcome here

I would just call the boat awesome. I think the new dash is the best part.
