It's an 18' 10" shorty V hull. At a distance it looked fine, natch.
But it was completely stripped. The seller stated that he'd saved it from being scrapped right at the scrap yard. Everything had been removed including many of the hull rivets. The gunwales were off and bent up, as was the cabin top. The upper cabin section and windshield were gone for good. Corrosion was apparent everywhere and a number of rivet heads had popped off... as had happened to DozerII and his boat from the Great Salt Lake. There were also a couple of poorly repaired dents, one on each side. Much of the sheet metal that remained was bent up and the port side rub rail had been replaced and needed all new rivet holes to be drilled. Just too much work and risk. No engine included either. And the trailer was missing the winch post and iffy otherwise. The transom had been removed and seller said he had a new one cut, fitted and ready to install... but I believe it was PT wood.
Seller said he had planned to convert it to a center console but is going through a divorce and needs cash. Price was $850 which is way too much. Personally, I feel that the boat is only suitable for scrap. And my wife wanted nothing to do with it at all.
Other than that, it was great!
It really was interesting to see the size of that hull. Big. Dwarfed my wife! It's definitely deep inside and I liked the fact that it wasn't a 22 footer. I can also see how that extra rail could make things stronger for bigger waters.
