Looking at 84 40HP Mariner with unavailable coil

Going to look at a boat tonight with 40 HP Mariner. He says he thinks it's an 84. Says the coil is bad from when they took the flywheel off and drove a screw through the coil. He also says the coil is unavailable from Mariner and might be hard to find.

Any idea if these coils can be find (and points/condensers while I'm at it)?

Also, any other advice on whether this sounds like an OK situation with the flywheel, etc?
