Looking at buying an islander got ???

I'm going to check out an 81 Islander says 22 foot with alpha one, new bellows, trim cylinders, gimball bearings shift cables and full tune up. What are some of the other things I should look for and or stay away from if I find? I'm new to the I/O boats so any help would be great. Like motor pros and con and outdrives as well. thanks

Is this a Starcraft Islander model? Aluminum Hull?

Yes it is an aluminum hulled cuddy built by starcraft, sorry I didn't realize that I forgot the manufacturer.

Transom is more important but check for a rotton deck too.

There is an outside chance that I am partial but...

The Islander is a sweet rig!

The good news is that it kinda sounds as though the most important part of that boat is up to date and ready to roll.
