looking for 1954 evinrude part?????????

i have a 1954 evinrude fleetwin . 7.5hp ss motor and i am trying to find the little aluminum cup that the impeller sits in. does anyone know where i can find one? or should i just buy a new water pump kit?.

You can actually buy a new kit for those motors now, that have a taller and narrower impeller. The housing is plastic with a stainless steel liner inside. From my experience, it's worth the investment, to do the upgrade.
