Johnsons were all white starting with the 59's and ran through 66. In '76 the Stinger & Javelin went white then for '77 the rest of the Johnson line turned white again.
The European 4's had integral tank starting in 1972. North America switched to that style in 1979.
Gale 5's with integral tanks (standard model) I believe were available through at least '57 un-promoted but possibly '59 at the latest.
The integral tank Johnson 5 you may be thinking of was a T-series from 1941 through 1953 (TD,TN & TS; million-sellers), but went back to 1939 (AT, LT, DT) before the restyling & 1937 as a 4.2 horse with the iron block.
The 5-horse Johnson of the 1960s (65-68) were based on the 6-horse powerhead but were under-carbed & had a simple lower unit like the 3. Those never had integral tanks.
Starting in 1981 there were some full-featured 4.5 horse twins, available with integral tank or remote tank. Twist grip & F-N-R. Maybe one of those puppies would suit your needs. Or the 4 of the 90's (4 prop rated honest horses) had a removable tank that mounted on the motor below the pan on the rear of the lower unit. I think they were called the Ultra 4.
