Looking for a good tube

Hi all, this may seem like an odd question to post, but hopefully I can garner some good information for me and any others looking to buy a tube in the future. When I shop for tubes, it's so confusing as there are sooo many makes and models. I bought one last year, but it either wasn't big enough or maybe it's center of gravity was too high (or both) as it would roll in every turn.

My neices (ages 11, 12 and 13) are coming to visit in a few weeks and I'd like to find a tube that is fun to ride, will skip/slide well across the water, not just roll and won't tear up the first time out. Its not necessary they all ride at the same time, but the idea shouldn't be ruled out either.

Can anyone recommend a tube that you have personal experience with that you and your kids have been happy with?

Thank you,

B~

Check Airhead Viper 3. Very durable. I like it b/c kids each have a seat and hold on handles. They can't bump into each other. Each seat is padded too.

If you are just cruising, the kids can stay in the tub and have a nice ride and not get too wet. I like to put the kids in there with a 1000' tow line:):):)

If you want to get them wet, we found doing slow speed figure 8s in the boat will evenutally send a nice 3' boat wake over the front of the tube and swamp the kids. They get a kick out of that vs. any high speed stuff.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendation and the swamp technique tip, but I think you meant a 100' tow line, right? :)

I recently got our first tube and the kids and wife love it. It is a Seyvlor Double Clutch, its a 2 person but has enough handles that 3 smaller people can ride. It is big, flat and very steady, I have not been able to flip it yet. The only thing is the riders need to shift their wieght back as you take off or it will nose dive, but I think that depends on tow set-up and making sure its properly inflated.
