I want to take an overnight trip on the Delware river down to the Bay, and am looking for recommendations on a nice marina that excepts overnight guests and has restaurants and shops within walking distance...or just restaurants would be fine. The more scenic the better.

Thanks

Anywhere in the Delaware Bay is fine, as long as the marina is full-service, and above Cape May. I'll even consider something on the C&D if it's nice.

IMO there's pretty slim pickin's.
Delaware City has a small, walkable waterfront area and at least 1 restaurant.
On the C & D, I like Summit North. Nice facility with floating docks and an excellent restaurant. No place to walk nearby, though. Of course, there's always South Chesapeake City.
I went to Fortescue once and was underwhelmed. Not worth the trip unless you like the smell of dead fish.
