I am currently looking for a reverse gear for my 1985 50hp johnson. The local dealers said that they could get it, but they needed to order it and needed the deposit, so when i payed, they called me an hour later saying that their distributors no longer make that gear, they discontinued it. They said that the only way to get the reverse gear is to buy the whole set ($400). Its a bit pricey for my blood. Does any body know where i can the reverse gear alone?
