We're looking at a 1994 Dynasty Elan 211. We are new to the boating world and looking for advice. It's a good looking bowrider that's been well taken care of with a new Mercruiser engine and rebuilt outdrive. Waxed and covered after each trip in the water. He's offered to take us out on the boat when the weather warms up so we can see it runs well. Problem is... I can't find any information about them online. Anybody have any information or know anything about their reputation? Any advice?

Thanks!

Re: Looking for advice on buying a dynasty boat..

I bought 1996 Dynasty Elnti 197 a year ago in poor to good shape. I replaced the engine to to the prior owners not winterizing it and the block cracked. I used it all last season, ran great last season with no problems except for average wear and tear due to age and lack of care by the prior owners. Sounds like the boat your looing at is much nicer than the one I bought. Dynasty were built in Alabama until they were bought out by Glastron. I never heard of Dynasty either until I found the one I bought, and had the same problem you have, trying to find information about the brand.

Hi,

I have a Dynasty Daycruiser 230. Same as what you are looking at just a little bit bigger and with a cabin. they are a good boat. the wiring behind the dash can go bad due to all of the ceramic contacts. My advice would be to cut them out and put in a fuse bar. Much safer and less of a chance of a short or an object not working due to a bad connection. Other than this I have no complaints. my motor is a little bit of a gas hog, but it is a very smooth, dry and dependable ride. The hole shot is very good and there is more power than most people know what to do with. hope this helps.

Guys this is an old thread. I also know that Desera and her family bought a different boat. I'm going to close this one.
