Looking for advice

Hi, I am looking to have a go at boating this summer somewhere near my home at Newark DE. I was just looking for general advice and perhaps websites. I was looking for a day cruiser or a cubby? about 20 foot stern or outboard but with a permanent mooring at a quay. You could say I'm a lazy boater anyway thanks for looking and any advice.

Ahoy, WVN.<br /><br />Welcome to the board.<br /><br />You need to spend some time around the marinas and launch ramps in the area you plan to boat.<br /><br />I never met a boater yet that didn't love to talk about his/her boat, what they like about it what they would do differently next time. Just tell them that you are researching before buying.<br /><br />Good luck.

JB is right. Also if there are any boat shows in the area it is a good way to compare boats and you can go back and forth between boats if you find something you like.
