looking for an outboard bracket

I have an 19' I/O powered boat that I will be converting to O/B power, via a 225 johnson. I'm looking for a reasonably priced bracket. I looked at stainless marine, but I don't want to spend $1000 for a 30" single motor bracket. I'll build one first.<br /><br />Anybody know of any reasonable sources for brackets?

$1,000 is low for 225HP rated bracket, they can easily cost more, this is only one of the many costs you will be surprised by. If you like projects and love the boat, then it can be converted, but if you just want an outboard, it's faster and costs much less to sell what you have and buy what you want.
