Vintage, reliability, quirks, weaknesses, approx value, Etc.
It does NOT use the 2-hose/pressurized fuel delivery system.
Seems to be in reasonably good condition, with no evidence of lower unit leakage and good compression.

No model is to be found, but the SN is: 25923B/E022082

I'll hafta re-check the model# tomorrow. The owner read it off as I wrote it down. Considering buying it sans tank & hose. The only thing 'wrong' I saw was that the anti-cav plate was a little wavy. Judicious application of a precision alignment instrument (read: hammer) should flatten that plate.

25932R is a 1979 25hp Commercial motor. Could he have the number that much screwed up?

Must be foggy there on the left coast, sir. Or a bit of chum splashed onto your glasses. ;)

The model# (preceding the slash) is: 25923B <--what I have chicken-scratched down.

We mean to say that the model number you posted does not exist, so maybe chum splashed on your note pad? lol

Thanks for that.
Any other info I should know?
I neglected to mention fuel mix. Is 50:1 suitable?

Re: Looking for any/all info on a "60's"(?) 25HP Evinrude

Thanx, Jasper. :)
I just waded through the "starter" section looking to see if an electric start is an option. Apparently not. This dood's a BEAR to crank! After looking over the engine it appears that maybe a starter could be shoe-horned onto the port side after the recoil mount on that side is replaced with one that would accept a starter. Am I spinning my wheels, or is this idea viable?
