But probably most specifically the wiring diagrams. My son has recently acquired one and the previous owner(s) have really messed up up the wiring. All of the engine related wiring seems to be in good shape and possibly original, but if not original it was done by someone that looks like they knew what they were doing. But everything else is really screwed up. Not too long after acquiring it, he and a friend of his went out for a night run. He flipped a switch that should have turned on a couple of flood lights mounted on the top, but they did not come on and all of the other lighting went real dim and the radio quit working. He turned that one off in a hurry. We were looking today and there are NO fuses or circuit breakers either.

I was just wondering if there was such a thing as wiring diagrams for a boat this old. Google has not been my friend in trying to locate anything related to this boat except sales brochures. We should just rip it all out and start over again updating things as we go, but a wiring diagram could give us a good place to start.

Thanks,

Wayne

I picked up the same boat, needs all new wood inside. I picked upa manual, Seloc Publications, OMC 1964-1986 Stern Drive.

The book has complete, original wiring instructions and diagrams. Its the best thing Ive found, plus it has chapters on every part of the boat and motor.
