Hi, I know this isn't the best time to buy a boat, so I'm asking for any suggestions as to great new boat deals on Bayliners. Anyone out there having a 4th of July sale? I'm in Colorado but will travel reasonable distance to pick it up.
Thank you,
Sharon Martin

Sharon:

Why only Bayliner? If you're willing to travel to buy a boat open the field and do some comparison shopping. I'm not trying to start a thread to bash Bayliner just saying you deserve to compare so you spend your hard earned dollars and get the best/most for your money.

I'm not sure what boat sales are like in Steamboat Springs but there's a pretty big place in western Nebraska in Kearney, Buzz's Marine. They are at http://www.buzzsmarine.com/index.php

Good luck and I hope you fine a boat you're really happy with! Once you do find a boat you're happy with you can find all sorts of information using the search function of this web site. I sure did when I was looking to buy.

Regards,

Steve

P.S.
Love your town. Been skiing there many times and always enjoyed the people and local offerings. I hope to get back there this winter.

Bayliner typically has the least expensive entry price into boating, for example their 175 model is what??? $9,900?

Is that the reason?

For the money spent you get a lot of use outa the cheap boat. A more expensive boat, of same class, is not necessarily going give you much more enjoyment.

Sharon as your going to be boating at higher altitudes get the biggest motor the boat comes with. Otherwise you gonna feel under powered. If said boat comes with a 3.0 outdrive get the 4.3L V-6 if you can.

4poco:

Great attitude. I agree with what you say. As long as you enjoy the boat you have and are having a great time on the water with it who cares! I'd take the lowest cost boat and have the opportunity to have fun on the water than no boat at all. With that said, I think I'll be on the water tomorrow.

Steve
