When I bought my last 2 boats here everyone was more than helpful. I am looking again. I keep narrowing down what I want. I had a Bayliner 2850 that I used on Lake Superior, but I missed being able to fish inland lakes. Then I had a Crestliner 1750 Fish/Ski. I was hoping that this would be a good combination of both fishing boat and ski boat. It turned out to be good in both areas, but not great at either. I fixed taht one up and sold it, so now I am in the market. I have a 14ft boat which is good for inland lakes, but I can't take it out on Lake Superior with even the slightest breeze.

Here is what I want to do with a boat. I want to fish walleyes in the inland lakes and rivers. I want to be able to go out on Superior on decent days. I want there to be room for my son and I and two more people if need be. I also wouldn't mind pulling the kids around in a tube at the cabin. I also don't want to spend much over 6 grand.

I have fished out of a couple mid 80's/early 90's Lund Tyees and really like the set up and the deep hull, and the way it takes waves. I have found a few in MN for around 5 grand. The one I am seriously looking at is an 86 18 ft with a 96 Evinrude 110 with full canopy and electronics for $5500.
I wanted to post here and see if anyone had any words of wisdom or advice before I pull the trigger and find out something bad later. I know it is late in the year for boats, but there seem to be a few deals around.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Erik
