Love the built-in cooler on the searay. Girlfriend says she wishes the Cruisers had a built in cooler......

so.....

next project. built-in cooler with drain outside of hull. located a few places, however looking for a cooler pan or full cooler to mount vs building from scratch.

anyone have an idea, or should I start some glass work?

Re: looking for coolers to build in to existing hull

no, those are specifically pontoon boat coolers with padded tops, etc, and looking at what they are asking for them, they are really proud of them. I remember seeing a few when I was at the Miami boat show, however never thought to pay attention to the vendor at the time.

what I am looking for is about $80-100 (depending on size), its flanged for mounting. cut a hole in the deck and its a floor cooler, cut a hole in the council and its a council cooler.

along the lines of a poly livewell tank, however insulated.

Re: looking for coolers to build in to existing hull

contacted my friend Austin at Chris Craft, and got a list of vendors that make hatch covers and liners. the problem is no-one has insulated liners. So this winters projects will be to convert the back to back seat risers into above deck storage, and to put a few thru deck storage bins and hatches in place to make use of the empty spaces between the deck and hull. Will insulate one of these with expanding foam spray. goal is to get 75# of ice on board for margaritas :D

also going to add a 40 gallon fresh water tank and a transom shower.
