Hi guys. After a number of years of being boatless, I finally picked up a new-to-me boat this weekend. It is a 1989 Aquasport Striper 17.5 with a 2003 Mercury 75 hp ELPTO 2-stroke (serial # 0T628667). I just ordered a SELOC manual for reference, but that will be another few days before it is delivered.

My old boat had a 1998 Mercury 150 hp 2-stroke, which had a port on the aft side so that I could screw in a garden hose and flush the salt out of the cooling chambers. I looked for something similar on my 75 hp motor, but did not find anything.

Do any of you know if I am just missing it, or is there a part that I need to add to my engine in order to do the fresh water flush after a day in the bay? It is not practical for me to use earmuffs, as I keep my boat in a slip along the ICW, so it rocks quite a bit because of the wake from other boats.

Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Joe
