Looking for idle tube .. need help.

I currently have my WMK-18 carbs off my motor. Motor is a 1978 Merc 1150 with serial # 4856855. I have found a kit that includes everything, except the idle tube. I want to replace all the plug screws and jets and the idle tube in these carbs. However, the places I have been looking, with and without micofiche, says the idle tube is no longer available. Can someone help me out with my situation?

Normally the jets and plugs do not wear out. That is probably why you are having problem finding them. usually we clean up the carb and replace gaskets, floats and inlet needle, gasket and seat.

I understand what you are saying, however, I am stripping down the carbs and cleaning them. Who ever owned this boat before me had dinged up the slots in the direction you turn to remove the jets, screw plugs, and idle tube. I prefer to replace everything and do it properly since I am the current owner. I want this motor to outlast me. I take very good care of my stuff and like to do things correct the first time.

So, I am still looking for an idle tube.

Can anyone help ?

Sorry thats not the kit with the idle tubes.

Yes, I know that was not it. I have looked everywhere I can think of. I am getting burnt out with looking. Anyone able to help me out ?
