Looking for info on a new prop for wakeboarding with nordic rage

I have a 2005 Nordic rage with a 496HO motor and a 26p prop, its rather slow out of the hole. I would like to ski or wakeboard behind it but with the 26p i dont think its gonna. I was thinking about dropping to a 22p or so, how much of a difference would that make in the hole shot and top end

With the 26p i can hit about 75 on GPS, i would be happy with a 22p if i could hit 60ish and still be able to wakeboard behind it

Just dropping in pitch will pull someone out/up w/o problem but what will it do to your rpms! Over-revving the boat is bad. Try going to a 4 or 5 blade for the power and you should only need to drop a smaller amount in pitch.

I should have mentioned that my current 26p is a 4 blade. so your saying i should goto a 5 blade 22p? i can watch the Revs thats easy, i think the limiter is at like 5k

A 5 blade spelled $$$$$$$$$ and you are having a difficult time with the current 4 blade? Wow.

If you could borrow one to try I would recommend that.

You have the HP and I am surprised you have that problem.

no the 4 blade works fine, i just want more out of the hole power for towing a wakeboard. the boat is faster from 30-60 than it is 0-30. For wakeboarding it would be nice to get going faster
