looking for info on Detroit Diesel marine engine

I'm looking for all kinds of reference (pictures, drawings etc) on the Detroit Diesel marine engine 6V53N.

Unfortunately,.... We don't see to many Diesel boaters here at iboats,.....
While there Are a couple of Us, who have Plenty of Diesel experince in Other applications,......
I haven't met any Diesel Boat Experts here......

Check with your detroit diesel shop in your area. The factory service manuals are very informative ,including pictures and drawings. The marine manuals are diferent from the truck manuals. Parts manuals are by engine spec numbers. Most 53 series engines use the same core engine , with different accessory drives , depending on application. A lot of generator applications use the 6v53 industial fan to flywheel engine,with water cooled exhaust manifolds to remote cooling towers, just like a boat application. You can also find the manuals in online auctions and at amazon.

6v53 means 53 cubic inch per cylinder and its in a 6 cylinder v pattern,these are a high rev diesel engine due to being small. they are also loud. do you need help on adjusting govenor and injectors, its pretty easy. or you got mechanical problems. iam fatory certified in 60 series detroit and my good buddy is certifed in all 2 strokes
