I've got a 1988 40hp yamaha with remote controls. I need a little more RPM in reverse to get off my trailer bunks.<br /><br />I noticed that yamaha makes two different throttle cams for this engine. One appears to be for the alaska version (part number 6H4-41213-E1-00 CAM, ACCEL). Does someone know what the difference is? Does the Alaska cam do more RPMs in reverse?<br /><br />If someone doesn't have any better ideas, I was thinking about modifying my throttle cam somehow.
