Looking for new prop/ low end vibration

1st off, my boat runs great all the time, but my prop looks like crap, has taken a beating, and I'm thinking its the reason for my low end vibration. Top end the engine smooths out. There is no direct effect on performance or ride quality, just looking to replace and keep the old for a spare. The boat is an old 1977 Renken 19ft walk around, 1976 Johnson 115 v4 2 stroke, 18gal tank, usually seating 2-4.

These are the questions from the sticky, and I'll asnwer them below.
1) Performance issue you are trying to correct.
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless and as a minimum.
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required).
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP
6) Boat make model, year, length and weight

1) Would like a little better top end, but don't want to kill the bottom.
2) Current prop man. unkonown, but its aluminum
3) 176214 is the numbers on the prop, thats 17dia and 14 pitch I think, the spline count is 13.
4) Unknown for RPM at FT, I can tell you that from 3/4 to WOT, there is only a two kt difference in speed and hardly a change in RPM, and the fuel flow is bad compared to 1/2-3/4.
5)1976 Johnson 115
6 1977 Renken 19' walkaround, heavy

thanks, I've found some replacements in the $120-140 range.

This is my first ever boat, I love it to death, and am having a blast on the waterways.

What if any benefits will I gain changing prop angle and diam?

thanks

4) Unknown for RPM at FT,

Ayuh,... Either Fix what you have or replace it with the Same...

Without WOT rpms,... Nobody can even give you a reasonable GUESS...

Re: Looking for new prop/ low end vibration

Prop size most likely should be 14 diameter X 17 pitch. If it is beat up it may account for what appears to be subpar performance.Boat is 1420 lbs dry.
17" pitch should be close to right 5,500 to 5800 rpm.Speed about 35-38 mph.You might check that the throttle opens all the way.BE sure the motor is in excellent tune.Bottom clean and smooth. If your not experiencing any ventilation(cavitation) you can probably raise the motor a hole or 2.Once you get the new prop. You also may be able to get the prop repaired.
Check out the Turning Point Hustler.Close to stainless performance at aluminum prices.

That prop is actually a 13-1/4 inch diameter x 17 pitch. Not 17 diameter 14 pitch.

Yep, roger that 14x17. Any recommendations for pitch change?
