looking for old fashioned helm

guys i'm looking for an old steering assembly. the type that used cable and pulleys,tension springs and wrapped around the hub of the steering wheel.

Try haunting some of the local marinas and boat repair shops, or even . There's got to be tonnes of that stuff lying around Florida since there's lots of it here. It's worth next to nothing since it was once so common and is now treated with distain.<br /><br />Online junkyards might be a good source too. I see one setup on ebay right now for $20. Using these search terms:<br />outboard steering pulley<br /><br />Engine size dictates spring tension. Do you have all the information you need?

thanks Paul, thats just what i want. going to rig it on my 1960 Lonestar commander so i can fish alone. fishingdan, they think they are made of gold.
