So I threw in a few extra pictures for fun as I know we all like to see them. So long and short bought the boat as picture 1 shows..cleaned it up (picture 2) re-powered (picture 3 boat was cheap, had no engine)

You can see from 2 that the pump is up on this elevated piece..screwed in no doubt. I will be filling that hole and using a bracket etc per reading other posts here.
How and where would you put the bilge pump ? Also keep in mind the picture 3 is how the boat is now..so my access is limited. My fault for not redoing the pump system while I had all the room in the world..but hey nothings easy.

Any opinion is welcome.Going in for the first time this season ! Thanks for looking.

Under the motor where that water was standing in pic #1 would be a good location. You can glue the base of it with 5200 to the hull. Or use some type of bracket as you suggested.

I was afraid someone would say that..looks like a visit to the chiropractor after this one is done, what once was an easy job is now very difficult..

While I'm at it I see everyone with a backup? should I throw in a second while I'm killing myself on this one?

couldn't hurt to leave one on the platform and put another where the standing water is but i think that might just be showing off. Sweet motor by the way!

Ha..well I think I'm getting a new pump as if I kill myself getting it under the engine it should be new..I don't want to do that again for awhile! Use the old one as the backup. Thanks on the engine..I'll be paying it off for the next two years!! Haha..

btw is it ok to put it on the "angle" just off center? Seems like it would let the hose be at a more natural angle..up. thanks guys!
