Looking for opinions on Four Winns

I've recently come across a 2005 Four Winns 200 Horizon with 125 hrs. The boat, so far, seems to be in excellent shape and well taken care of. The owner is asking $15,500 which doesn't seen too bad. Any opinions on Four Winns boats or things to look for would be greatly appreciated. The motor is a 5.0 Volvo Penta GXi. I have never owned a boat with a Volvo and know nothing about them. Thanks in advance, I know I'll get some great advise here.

Four Winns makes a good boat. Not sure about the construction materials of the 05's but I'm sure someone will chime in about them. ifourwiins dot com is a website devoted to Fourwinns and they can give you a better take on that year model. I've often heard that they had a good build quality (upper third of manufacturers.)

The Volvo Penta SX drive with the 305 is really good as well. Some like it better than the Mercruiser drives. They aren't as popular as Mercs, so check around your area and make sure you find a good mechanic that works on them.

As far as the price, look on Craigslist for your area and check the prices of comparable boats.

I've got a FourWinns with a SX drive, and couldn't be happier with it.
