Looking for part number, any help is appreciated.

im looking for a gate control cable for my '93 evinrude 90/65 jet. The gate control cable is the cable that allows the cup on the end of the jet nozzle to rotate up or down so the boat either goes forward or backwards.

Also how do i know what length of cable to get? Its for a '91 17 foot tracker boat.

Go to http://shop2.evinrude.com/

You can then look up your engine, etc and find the proper part # and either purchase online or call your local Evinrude dealer and have them order the part.

You'll need your model # to lookup the correct part.

If you have the original cable, it will have the part number which includes the length stamped on the cable sheathing within a couple of feet of the end.

Excellent thanks! I found the part number but im not sure how to tell how long it is.

Its a Morse D302029-000-0120.0

I would assume its a 12 foot cable? But i cant see how as its only on a 17 foot boat..

That's 120 inches or 10 feet.

Morse belongs to Teleflex and iboats is one of their larger dealers. Call them at 1-800-914-1123 and give the part number exactly as you see it, they should be able to duplicate it for you.
