I'm hoping someone can post a close picture of the starboard side of their motor, with the cover off. I'd like to see how the cam, linkage, and spark advance screws are all set. I've rebuilt the carbs and done a link/sync, but befire I redo the carbs (may have screwed up the float), I wanna make sure my settings look normal. Thanks.

Im not so sure a picture would help much. I think your best bet would be to get an OEM manual. It will pay for itself a million times over, and the information and diagrams is priceless for carb settings and lync n sync.

Agreed. You cannot set the link and sync by looking at another motor. There is a specific routine to setting it up.

I've got a Seloc manual, and have link/sync 3 times, but still can't get beyond 3000 rpms. The carbs were squeaky clean, but I blew carb cleaner and air through them anyway. I'm just hoping to see something that I may be missing on mine.

When you say you blew air, and carb cleaner thru them, if you mean thru the carb throat, this would have no effect at all. The carb must be taken apart, and all passages' checked, and cleaned.

Take the cover off the carburetors and advance the throttle fully. The throttle plates should all be absolutely horizontal at that point.

Watch the timer base to assure that it is moving smoothly with the movement of the throttle.
