Looking for obsolete parts.. I have a 72 Johnson V4 100ESL72R - my water tube guides are pretty chewed up and they are difficult to work with. Over the years I've had to trim them shorter to get rid of the chewed up part. I always have difficulty lining them up when bolting up the lower unit. I guess I have fat fingers, then again they may have been too short to begin with.

Original part numbers are 314081, short, and 314765, long - trying to figure out what Sierra cross reference was back when Sierra offered replacements...

While Sierra hasn't listed/offered these for a while, ocasionally I see people listing old Sierra part numbers on ebay - but I haven't seen the original johnson part numbers so I don't know if what Sierra numbers I should be looking for.

Or maybe someone knows if any later year models used the same diameters on the tubes?

The last time I serviced my water pump I should have measured the inner/outer diameter of the tubes. Does anyone know what they are? Worst case I'll just open up the gear case, measure what's left of my tubes and take them to a marine shop to see if they have anything that matches up.
