I am looking for some brands of boats that offer rod boxes, dry storage, and livewells in a small boat....14-16ft w/ tiller steering. I have a 14' Mirrocraft and 25 hp Mariner. It works great, but just does not have these features. Seaark had one, but they stopped making it.

Thanks,
Wily

What about the Tracker's, specifically the grizzly. I believe it's www.tracker.com or trackermarine.com

Take a look at the Lowe "Angler" series of aluminum boats.

They have the features you mention and are priced well.

I just got the 165 with console steering and 40HP Johson and it appears to be a solid, well built boat. It is quite stable to fish from and very roomy.

All model lengths are available in a tiller model.

I would agree with crab bait on this one , I've refitted a few 16 & 18 ft boats to what I wanted including top deck floors with hatch covers for fuel tanks batt.and such. I spent about $1000.00 or less to rehab each boat and if you take your time no one will ever know.A little marine plywood , Vinyl covers or carpet , And hardware is all it takes well besides what ever bait liners you want or such..It's really not that bad and a hole lot of fun.If your going to check out e-bay or other sites this does save alot of money just takes a little time.. Good Luck

With the plywood just start with carbord or some thing to use as a template.

Alumacraft Lunker and Lund Rebel are both available in tiller steer models, have everything you asked for, are 16 feet in length, are light weight, tow easily and scoot along nicely with 30 - 40 HP. Best of all they are very reasonably priced and hold their resale well as they are high demand boats. One of my previous boats was a MirroCraft Pro-Striker that fit that profile as well but it was a console version. Great boat.
