Re: Looking for someone to rewire my boat
I'd give you a hand, but it's a long commute from Long Island NY. So, all I can offer is advice and informational help if you need it. If you've done alot of work on your boat and can read a straight-forward diagram, wiring it should not be a problem. On this site there are 2 sample wiring diagrams which will help you get through it. I'd suggest you go to the local library and borrow a boat on boat wiring as a guide. Then, list the guages, switches and devices you needed wired. Using the information you've secured, draw up a simple wiring diagram. it doesn't have to be to scale or anything; just what you want and how it should be connected. Then buy the fuse panel, wire and connectors you need and go to work. Remember to follow color code and wire size. Start at the engine and work forward, securing the wires with plastic ties and screws every 18" or so. Take your time and you should be fine. If you have any questions or need any other help, just ask. Safe boating and good luck. Hy
